Eyewitnesses said that 50 people, including pregnant women, were killed in a drone attack in North Gojjam
On November 8, 2024, residents in South Achefer, North Gojjam Zone, reported a devastating drone attack that killed around 50 people, including children and pregnant women. The attack, occurring early on October 26, struck a market, school, and health center in Arge, leaving bodies scattered and causing severe destruction. Witnesses described indiscriminate targeting, with victims including mothers and children. The Ethiopian Human Rights Commission is investigating, and unverified footage of the aftermath has circulated on social media.
